The Youth Charter Community Day was brought together a multi-agency stakeholder collaboration currently based at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and within Greater London.
The aim of the day was to build cultural bridges of trust, confidence and respect between the local communities and the Metropolitan Police, as part of the Youth Charter’s #YouthVision4MetPolice project.
The project’s ultimate aim is to improve the neighbourhood policing relationships with a view to encouraging the recruitment of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities as part of the #BTheChangeYouWant2C recruitment campaign. The day was delivered in partnership with the Community Outreach Team of the London Metropolitan Police Service.
A #YouthVision4MetPolice Survey was also developed to provide young people and communities with the opportunity to set out a Positive Vision for how they would like to see the London Metropolitan Police Service working with young people and communities.
The Youth Charter Community Day was also delivered as part of the Youth Charter’s ongoing #Call2Action and #LegacyOpportunity4All.
