Community Engagement team continued support for Community Games organisers following successful events in Sutton and Lichfield in 2021.
Dennis Kennedy, director of the organisation was invited to Community Engagement’s ‘What’s On’ online forum to help promote Community Games events amongst our stakeholders, which will be occurring in the lead up to and post Games until October 2022. In addition, we have supported targeted engagement for Community Games organisers, sharing contacts and introducing to new audiences they would have otherwise not engaged with. These include Primary schools Ark Victoria academy and Moseley CofE in Birmingham.
Community Engagement Roadshow formed part of the event which hosted over 25 sports, providing have a go Commonwealth Sports to residents of Moseley and neighbouring wards. The day was targeted primarily at families wanting to engage with sport, health and well-being activities and sponsored by Birmingham City Council and Sport Birmingham. Over 900 attendees battled the turbulent weather to take part on the many activities on offer.
