The ongoing challenges of the Covid Pandemic have continued to impact on our young people and their communities, with socio-economic inequalities highlighted and increased as a result. As Lockdown has eased in the UK, the youth violence has increased, with London witnessing record number of 30 teenagers murdered in 2021. With no Youth Clubs and Social Coaches/Youth Workers to guide them, Young People will be recruited by criminal gangs and the resulting youth violence. The Community Campus reflects the agency’s ongoing national campaign and ‘Call 2 Action’ from the YC 2019 Youth Manifesto, with the additional consideration of Covid-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement to re-engage, re-equip and re-empower 1 million young people in the UK, recruit, select and deploy 10,000 Social Coaches in each of the 10 major cities of the UK and to map, track and measure the social, cultural and economic outputs and outcomes that are aligned to the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
