Wolverhampton, UK
B2022 Community Engagement team supported the first British Kabaddi league held in Wolverhampton with sporting activations via our community roadshow to promote Commonwealth sport within the Sikh community.
Although Kabaddi is not a Commonwealth sport, its close cultural connection to wrestling made this a worthwhile event in attracting enthusiasts of both sports.
England Kabaddi Association has hopes of entering the Commonwealth Games in the future and welcomed the support of the team to amplify the support and encourage participation.
The event was live streamed via the BBC and viewed by thousands of spectators online.
