The Youth Charter Social Coach Leadership Programme workshop is the ongoing cumulative effort as we mark our 30th anniversary year in providing a truly sustainable, holistic and impactfully evidenced approach in the mental, physical and emotional health and well-being activity participation opportunity of sport, art and cultural activity with the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (QEOP) providing an equitable, diverse inclusive engagement of the young people and communities of the East End of London and beyond.

The workshop marks a six-year consultation, programme and project engagement effort working with some of the most disaffected and disadvantaged young people and communities in London.

Following the 2019 Youth Charter Manifesto and the COVID pandemic, the plans and proposals set out in our strategy launch at the University of East London and subsequent relocation to the London Stadium Learning Centre, saw a more digital engagement with all of the challenges and opportunities it presented.

Despite this fact, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games saw the Cycling event hosted at the QE2P, along with the 10th anniversary of the London 2012 event on the QEOP provided an opportunity to reset and present a more holistic, integrated approach in providing a #LegacyOpportunity4All and revised #Call2Action to be taken forward.

This workshop now provides the realisation of everyone’s efforts and with the Community Campus now alive and evidenced as a legacy of B2022, providing an opportunity to see the existing Campus utilised as we lead up to and include the London Youth Games Festival weekend and Athletics Grand Prix respond to the challenges and opportunities of a ‘games for everyone’.
