This marks the fourth year of the Youth Charter’s sponsorship of the Faculty of Physical Education and Mountain Sports at the University of Transylvania in Brașov. The 2025 Youth in the Perspective of the Olympic Movement Conference provided an invaluable opportunity to discuss, debate, and develop our #GlobalCall2Action. This initiative aims to establish Community Campus and Social Coach Leadership programmes that leverage sport, art, culture, and digital engagement to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people.
This year’s conference was particularly significant as it examined the legacy of Paris 2024 and how research, innovation, and digital advancements, including artificial intelligence can present both challenges and opportunities in social development. The introduction of the Youth Charter’s Community Campus workshop further enriched discussions by fostering an intergenerational exchange of ideas on delivering impactful community programmes.
A highlight of our visit was meeting a 14-year-old shepherd boy whose exemplary school attendance and dedication were truly inspiring. His ambition deserves hope and opportunity. Similarly, a three-year-old girl displayed an exceptional leadership quality beyond her years embodying the core mission of the Youth Charter: to Engage, Equip, and Empower.
This report is a testament to the commitment and contributions of all involved in this year’s conference. It serves as a roadmap for transforming theoretical concepts into sustainable, real-world impact.
