The Youth Charter hosted a 8 student interns from the University of Salford at the end of 2017 and start of 2018, in its new home in The Landing, MediaCityUK.
The strategic lead and direction was provided by Geoff Thompson and tutorage by Dr Mick Hides, the students undertook assignments relating to the Youth Charter’s ongoing work, which will contribute to our future project and programme delivery.
The students that started in October 2017 were: Joanne Ilori; Roberta Abdullahi; Melody Musarurwa; Christine Mufushwa; Nyasha Rukani; Dugmore Chavhundura, and finishing in December 2017. With Celestine Oziri and Jay Banner-Jee completing their student internships between January and March 2018.
The student internships projects were based on the development of our Community Campuses, Social Coach Leadership Programme and Youthwise programme and since been applying what they learnt to professional development in the UK and their home countries.
