The Youth Charter hosted a second tour group of Ali Scholars from Muhammad Ali Institute at the University of Louisville in 2010.
The scholars stayed at the University of Salford during their visit to the North West of England, which included meeting and discussion with the Anthony Walker Foundation at the Slavery Museum in Liverpool and visiting Huggys Boxing Gym in Bradford.
The scholars then participated in the London 2012 Games Legacy Debate hosted by the University of Roehampton in London.

Education
The Ali Scholars Tour of the UK was a unique educational learning experience for the group of young people from the USA. The young people were able to meet with young people and communities from different social and cultural backgrounds and countries. The young people learnt about the shared experiences of young people growing up in disaffected and disadvantaged communities in the UK and USA.
The young people also participated in a London 2012 Game Legacy's Debate at University of Roehampton, learning about the potential social impact of hosting major games, such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Health
Sport, Art, Culture were key themes of the tour, promoting healthy lifestyle choices for the young people and the communities they met.

Global Citizenship delivered through the Ali Six Core Principles was the central theme for the tour group.
Environment
Yes
The tour group were taken to a wide range of community facilities being used for sport, art and cultural activities, in the spirit of ubuntu and the African Village, to improve community cohesion and quality of life.

The Ali Scholars were all students from the University of Louisville and the tour helped to inspire their aspirations for future careers, employment and entrepreneurship.
