The Youth Charter AAA CiN We Move Youth Social Action project started in May 2023 and concluded at the end of August 2025. This project has included:
Weekly Sessions took place with debates, discussions and decision making on the community events that would take place, as well as various sporting activities, including boxing, football and athletics, and business / finance workshops with young people at the AAA Glyn Hopkin Abbey Hub in Newham
Team Games Event delivered with the young people at Carpenters Primary School
Family Fun Day delivered with the young people at Abbey Lane Open Space in Newham
1. Weekly Sessions
The Weekly Sessions with the young people at the AA Glyn Hopkin Abbey Hub in Newham saw the young people introduced to the project, with sessions developed through to planning and preparation of the Team Games Event and Family Fun Day.
The Young People also participated in sport, art and cultural acvitivities as part of the weekly sessions delivered by Youth Charter Social Coaches.
2. Teams Games Event
Young people from Ambition Aspire Achieve (AAA) delivered a Team Games Event at Carpenters Primary School in Newham, East London.
The young people were supported by Youth Charter and AAA to plan, organise and deliver the Team Games Event, as part of the Youth Charter’s BBC Children in Need We Move Fund #iwill Youth Social Action project.
Youth Charter Ambassador and IBF European Cruiserweight Boxing Champion, Jordan Thompson, was on hand to present medals.
3. Family Fun Day
The YC AAA Family Fun Day was delivered with the young people and their community @ Abbey Lane Open Space in Newham, east London, on Windrush Day and the Olympic Day weekend.
The Young People decided what activities were delivered at the Family Fun Day, which included:
Cake Sale
Jewellery Sale (made by the Children)
Face Painting
Colouring Competition
Boxing Exhibition
Basketball Shootout
Football Shootout
50m Sprint
The Mayor of Newham, Rokhsana Fiaz, attended the event and handed out the prizes for the sports and arts competitions.

The Youth Charter AAA CiN We Move Youth Social Action project delivered unique learning experience for the young people, which included financial skills, and event and project management skills.
Health
Sport and Physical Activity was a core part of the project. Boxing, football and multi-sport sessions were delivered as part of the weekly sessions, along with the Team Games Event and Family Fun Day.

Active Citizenship was the key theme of the Youth Charter AAA CiN We Move Youth Social Action project, with young people learning about Citizenship Roles and Responsibility within their local communities and putting this learning into Action.
